I replaced a 20 year old Serta coil spring mattress with this one and slept great on the first night. There was a mild odor from the foam material for a few days, but no problems now. I also got the box spring/foundation which is a perfect match. Quiet and comfortable.

I deeply regret purchasing this mattress, and would return it if the retailer I bought it from (Haverty's) accepted returns. Unfortunately not.
Unsupportive: I got a "medium" level of firmness. To me, it feels soft, and much softer than the medium I tried in the store. Many reviews mention the support giving out rapidly. I believe this, as I've only had it two weeks and immediately I felt like I was sinking in too far, putting my spine out of alignment. In a year, I expect it will be much worse. The foam doesn't seem to expand back very quickly, either. It doesn't seem like a mattress that will last very long, despite costing $1100.
Allergenic: When I touch the mattress with my bare hands, little bumps appear on my skin a bit later. I suspect this is an allergic reaction to one of the foams. I've covered it with a mattress protector, but I still don't feel comfortable sleeping 8 hours on something I'm allergic to.
Short: Twin XL mattresses are 80 inches long. This mattress is 76.5" inches long. A regular Twin is 75". It's essentially just a regular Twin in length, but it cost an extra $100.
I contacted both the retailer and Serta.com for assistance, and was basically told there was nothing they could do as far as returns, even though it was falsely advertised as a Twin XL, and possibly causing an allergic reaction. I will never purchase another Serta, or any mattress store that doesn't offer returns. It's too much of a risk to spend over $1000 on something that could be potentially unhealthy to sleep on.

This mattress performed well at first, but by year 3 I began experiencing back pain. The mattress begins to sag where your heaviest body weight is and you begin sleeping in a sagging depression. I contacted Serta (03022079) about warranty coverage and they will keeping pushing it back to the retailer, and Serta will not honor their warranty. They rely on employees from the retailer who come over to "inspect" the mattress, however they don't place any weight on the mattress to test the problem of sagging. They'll tell you the mattress is "conforming to your body", however what I need is a mattress that retains it's original structural integrity and supports my back. I would not recommend this mattress, or Serta. I paid over $2200.00 for a mattress that ended up causing pain.

I had a Costco memory foam mattress prior to purchasing this iComfort CF4000 Hybrid mattress. I purchased two of the twin XL's to form a split king. First off, absolutely ridiculously expensive, but they get you as the claim is it improves your way of life. I fall for this, as it's true and all the competition is very close in price. Still over-priced, okay I'll get off my high horse now.
The mattress was not as impressive as all the reviews and everything else I've heard. Especially compared to another memory foam mattress. It is noticeably different, but debatable whether it's worth the cost. My wife claims the old far cheaper memory foam mattress is more comfortable. It was over 10 years old and needed to be replaced either way, I was just hoping for more of an improvement with our sleep and pains this mattress.
I sleep about the same as I did before and it's now been a year since I purchased the mattress. Mattresses are one of those things that no matter how much you read or check them out, it's a purchase you are stuck with no matter the outcome. It's not garbage, just not the miracle remedy that everyone claims. If people are claiming a miracle, they were paid to fluff up the positive and ignore the negative!
I cannot comment on how this mattress compares to other competitors of the same quality. I did go off my sisters advice, that has purchased 2 other major (high profile) brands and likes this mattress the best. She has neck and back pain as I do.
We are all middle age and above average in weight. I am 6'2'' and my sister and wife are 5'2". I fit just fine on the mattress with no problems of the length.
We all are hot sleepers and the CF4000 helps a lot in that category. That is most definitely one of the biggest improvements over our last memory foam mattress, which as normal with them are very hot. We tried a 3" latex foam topper (which we had already and wanted to see if it improved the mattress) and it eliminated that cool effect of the CF4000, so we removed it.
I just purchased a GB adjustable bed frame to go with this mattress and hope that also improves our sleep. Again outside the expense, people rave that they help a lot. They are over-priced as well. Again what price tag would you place on "Quality of Life"? That's how they get us and we still buy them, so we justify the cost/benefit...

This product support and gives the comfort my body needs. The cooling features make sure I stay nice and cool in the summer. The look i give it a hundred the only problem i have is the sheets wont stay on because it is a slippery mattress. I would recommend

First, anything would be better than our previous mattress, so yes this matress felt soft and comfy. And ginormous in width and height.
Second, even though we got this on sale, I feel the price was pretty high overall.
Third, and my biggest issue, my expectations and what I was led to believe is different than the reality of this mattress. We decided to go all in and by the top dollar version of this matress (level 4000, plush). This boasted of "cooling effects and design", "pressure point relief", and "ultra plush soft". I also read a ton of reviews stating how wonderful and amazing, how cooling it was, how soft is was, the best matress they have ever had the privilege of knowing. Let me give you more of the reality of this mattress.
1) "Cooling" is different from "not hot". I still get warm in bed and have to turn occasionally throughout the night, and that is with the most breathable sheets I could find and a lightweight quilt (with additional blanket over feet). If I try to sleep on my back to long I do get warm and turn to my side. However, it is not "hot", like every other memory foam I've laid on. From the description and reviews, maybe I was expecting breezes coming through.
2) Not sure I should have paid extra for the "pressure point" feature. In Serra's defense, I've not tried the level 3000, so maybe what I bought is better than that one. As a female, I don't feel a strain in my top hip when laying on my side for a long time. But, my shoulders are where my real issue is and I can't say it's relieved my issues. Because I have to lay on my side because of getting warm, I can still wake up needing to stretch my chest (breastbone popping) and have a crammed shoulder feeling, creating clicks and needing stretching. Again, way better than our cheap, firm Serta mattress, but from reviews and description I was imagining laying on clouds of heaven, relieving my issues.
3) "Plush" was misleading. "Soft" is more accurate. When I hear "plush", I imagine a wonderful sinking, an OVER-abundance of softness, lushness, comfiness. This mattress is great and soft, there is a sinking and it is comfy. Definitely. But not plush. A reminder: this mattress is a hybrid (which is what my chiropractor recommend). So there is a certain support and firmness that will come from the springs no mattress what. If you want what I was envisioning, maybe try Serta's straight out memory foam and see how it goes. Otherwise, plan on this matress being slightly firmer than you expect, and order accordingly. But don't get me wrong, it's definitely comfy.
4) Adding all these things together, I felt this was a pricey purchase that under-delivered for my expectations. That being said, I still love getting into bed every night, and it does feel like a luxury matress. I love slowly and luxuriously waking up every morning on it. Overall I am happy we purchased it. But wanted potential buyers to understand the reality of this matress (for me) verses what the reviews led me to expect. That was quite a hefty price for a matress
Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Buying through Serta, I believe you do have a long return window if you want to try it out.

Bought this mattress new within 6 months it sunk down about 3 inches. Have to grab sides to pull self out of bed. Trying to get some help from company I bought it from. They took measurements and now saying will have to measure in a month. Between my husband and myself we weight about 300lb together. Would not recommend this mattress

After having slept on the I comfort memory foam and loving it my husband and I purchased the new guy comfort hybrid in October 2019 it has now been about 18 months and I have to say sleeping on this mattress is like sleeping on the road with potholes. I have had two back surgeries and all I want is a good nights sleep which I never get from this mattress I feel like I'm either sleeping uphill or downhill or in a hole it is by far the absolute worst buy my husband and I have ever made. My back hurts so bad when I wake up in the morning I could just cry. we would never recommend this mattress to anyone

Since my innerspring mattress was almost 20 years old, I was in search of a new one. Both my hubby and I have back problems and decided to look into the foam mattresses. I am so impressed with the Serta iComfort CF4000 with the gel memory foam. Even though it's a firm mattress, it is so comfortable with the top layer of memory foam. It seems to mold right around my body and we both get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling refreshed and no morning back pain. This mattress is over 13" deep and with the memory foam when I move while in bed it doesn't bother hubby and the foam goes right back to the original shape. If you tend to sweat at night, this mattress removes the excess heat from your body with the cooling technology and carbon fibers to help give you a much more comfortable and restful sleep. I am so impressed with the quality, the construction and overall comfort of this Serta iComfort mattress and highly recommend to anyone looking for a new mattress.

We got this mattress for our son. He is very hot natured and this mattress keeps him very cool! I tried it out and immediately felt the cool radiating from it. This mattress is made with great quality!! It is plush while still being pretty firm. Everyone in the family that has tried it, has said they slept much better, than on any of our previous mattresses.

Mattress came and I couldn't put it on box spring just yet so as I'm looking at it and feeling it I thought wow this bed is really hard and thought I was going to be sorry but boy was I wrong. Finally was able to get this heavy mattress on my box spring, put new sheets on and couldn't wait for bed that night. Night time came and oh my I slept all night long (which never happened with my old mattress) woke up with no back pain at all (also which I have dealt with for a long time). I couldn't believe that this mattress that I thought was I was going to hate that I love, love, love. The stitching is nice and tight. It has a cooling feature that really does work. When you lay on the mattress it feels like the mattress is gently hugging your whole body. You can move around, toss and turn and the person next to you won't even feel it. This bed is a dream come true. No more back pain, being able to sleep all night without tossing and turning is total awesome. This bed is made so well and nice and thick.

This is easily one of the most comfortable mattresses that we have ever laid on. The plush top makes it contour to your body, and the cooling technology built in to the top layer is great for warmer climate areas. The mattress is deep, though, so you'll need to find some deep pocket sheets to fit over it properly. We've had issues in the past where plush mattresses were just super soft and they often caused me and my partner to just roll into the middle all night, but with this one you can't even feel your partner moving in the bed. If you're looking for a new mattress, this is the one to consider.

The Serta iComfort CF4000 Hybrid Plush is a mattress that dreams are made of. It is so so soft! The one draw back is that might be a little too soft for me. I have a large frame and weigh more than 200lbs, I sink right in. It is very comfortable but when I am ready to get up, I feel stuck. My body doesn't want to get up. My next purchase will be the firm version. But for now, sleeping on a big fluffy cloud is just perfect. My entire body is supported no matter which way I sleep. I am a side sleeper usually. One morning I woke and had been sleeping on my back all night! Wow! My body was well rested and ready for the day. Definitely recommended! No box spring needed but will need at least a platform bed frame. Regular queen size sheets won't work as the mattress is more than 13 inches thick. Most sheets are 12 inches so they will pop off quick without sheet hooks. I found that jersey sheets are a little stretchy and work perfect. I love my Serta!

This mattress is absolutely wonderful. I love how thick and comfortable it is. I really like that it is a plush mattress that's not overly soft. It is not too soft and it is not too firm but it is just right. This mattress is very supportive and holds my position very well. I tend to sleep many different ways and found that this mattress is still very comfortable in any sleep position. I have noticed that I'm sleeping longer and not tossing and turning throughout night. This mattress has surpassed my expectations and I'm so happy I have it. I highly recommend this product.

The first night that I slept on this mattress, the next day I woke up refreshed and ready to take on the day. This mattress is super soft not to the point where you just sink in, but just perfectly soft. The quality of this mattress can't be beat, the stitching and fabric used that went into manufacturing this product is what makes this mattress stand out. I put off getting a new mattress for so long. I am so happy with this icomfort mattress. I cant believe how well I sleep now. Before, I was tossing and turning all night, I would wake up sweating and uncomfortable before. This mattress is so comfortable and it contours to my body. It also has built in cooling technology, so I no longer sweat at night. I feel cool and comfortable. I was also waking up with a stiff neck before I got this mattress. I dont have a stiff neck anymore. It's amazing to see how a great mattress can help you get a good night's sleep and be well rested the next day. I really cant say enough good things about this mattress. It isnt too soft or too hard, It really just contours to my body and feels so good to sleep on. I have had pretty severe back pain for the past few years, which I'm convinced has been exacerbated, or completely caused, by my previous mattress. The first time I laid on this mattress, I literally felt the weight, stress, and tension on my vertebrae lift, and I was almost in tears of joy. I was slightly concerned that the plush mattress would offer little support, but I was wrong, it's very supportive, and yet still forms to my body. My husband has also been sleeping much better since we switched to this mattress. He used to toss and turn throughout the entire night, but that has drastically reduced, which has helped us both sleep better. I can tell this this is a super high quality mattress that I'll be enjoying for years and years to come!

One thing you should have during your lifetime is an excellent mattress. During our lifetime, sleep takes up one third of your life, without an exceptionally well made mattress how can you achieve your best sleep potential?

The way a good memory foam mattress works is it relieves pressure, supports your body, and keeps you from being disturbed at night. I have a good night sleep, but it is a little hard to roll over or get out of. I am use to a firmer mattress so it will just take some getting use to. I do sleep better and have less aches and pains in the morning.

I absolutely love this mattress! I have owned it for a week now and have had a great full nights sleep every night. I have woke up with less back, hip and knee pain every morning so far.
It supports my whole body evenly while still giving that soft plush feel for comfort. It is a very thick mattress that requires a very deep pocket fitted sheet. It has a cooling sensation to the touch. It is made of great quality material.

This mattress is what dreams are made of! My mattress prior to getting this one was 8 years old and I was having horrible back pain. The first night on the icomfort cf4000 plush, I slept like a baby. I woke up free of pain which was a welcomed blessing. I am amazed how comfortable this bed is. I haven't noticed the cooler feeling but I have a thick mattress protector so I think that may be why. I am so happy with this bed and look forward to more pain free nights.

I have had a terrible history with mattresses. I am a back & hot sleeper. Prior to this mattress, I had not found one to accommodate me. They were either too firm, too soft or after a few months get "broken" in to the comfort level I didn't originally choose.
This mattress is the real deal! My husband & I have slept in separate beds for the last 2 years. He needs firm and I need a soft mattress. He opted to try sleeping with me in the new Serta IComfort mattress. We both woke up with no aches, pains or complaints and know we are back where we belong.
It is my understanding that some people claim this mattress is best for side and stomach sleepers. For me, as a back sleeper, I disagree. While this mattress is plush, it's not really what I, personally, consider plush. It's not like you sink in it, but somehow provides the perfect comfort level. I feel it provides excellent strength and support for my neck and back. Obviously, mattress reviews are totally subjective, but to take two people (my husband and I) from opposite ends of the mattress firmness rating spectrum and then both sleep comfortably with no issues, shows it can work for most people.
In regards to the cooling feature, it is quite simply what sealed the deal for me. I no longer wake up overheated and wake up completely refreshed and rested each morning. The quality of this mattress is amazing! It appears this will last several years. And having the zip cover protector is a bonus!
Overall, I love this mattress, it has changed my life in a very positive way! I totally would recommend it to anyone looking for new mattress.

My old bed was definitely in need of replacement, it had become a giant bowl for me to sleep in, and was causing me so many back problems. Since I switched to the iComfort CF4000 Hybrid Plush my nights are finally restful! It was different getting used to the cooling effect part of the bed when I first laid on it, but now my nights are so thankful for it. As someone who has issues with temperature regulation, and going from 9ver heating, and to cold, this bed allows me to have the extra blankets on my bed as I need them, but because of the cooling part I'm no longer over heating at night, like I did with my old bed, that even had a cooling topper on it. The only thing is now I have to buy all new sheets because of how deep the bed is, my normal sheets just don't fit, but it's completely worth every second with my new bed.

I was a little skeptic that this mattress would actually keep us cooler when sleeping as I've had a couple now that have claimed that. However it really does seem to work. If you lay on it without sheets (when it first arrived) it is downright cold. It warms up quickly which also softens up the memory foam inside of it.
So far it has not disappointed and the quality looks and feels like it's going to last a long time which is great compared to some of those new vacuum sealed mattresses

Serta iComfort CF4000 Hybrid Plush Mattress is absolutely wonderful!!! It has so many great features including a memory foam top, cooling properties and comfort that spares no expense. Very well made mattress! I believe this mattress will provide years of comfortability and the perfect softness for a great nights sleep. With great edge support as well. I have been sleeping on this mattress for about a week now and am very impressed with the comfort . I have some back problems which makes sleeping good pretty difficult, and have tried mattress after mattress just trying to find something soft and comfortable yet still has the right amount of support. I feel like I finally found the perfect mixture of the two in this mattress. I haven't woke up sore or still all week . I have slept through the night almost every night since getting this mattress setup. I don't sink down in the bed like I have found with other plush mattresses, and don't feel like I'm sleeping on a board like firm mattresses feel to me personally. I can feel the support the moment I lay on it but I also feel softness and comfort. This thing is truly amazing. I am beyond happy with this and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Got this and had an amazing night's sleep the first night. Old mattress was broken down and seriously needed replacing. Soft but yet it supports the body and I'm not exactly a small person! Firm mattresses always make me hurt the next morning. Never knew I could have support AND soft plush feel. Every night since has been the same. Comfort and great sleep.

The i Comfort CF4000 Hybrid Plush is a very good matress! I've slept on it since I've gotten it and it really is comfortable. It's firm but not too much. It has the right amount of firmness. It's also very comfortable. And it's very plush too. It provides good support for my back too. And it's a very high quality product. I would recommend this mattress for everybody.

I love, love, love my new mattress! It is soooo comfortable. Waking up in the morning was a breeze because the comfort of the mattress helped me to get a good night's rest and I can finally say that I wake up feeling rejuvenated. I am one happy customer!
